FAQ
The first dance doesn't have to be stressful.
We have gathered answers to the questions that future brides and grooms most often ask.
Can you learn to dance online?
Absolutely! Online dance lessons are becoming an increasingly popular choice, as evidenced by the opinions and results of our students. We focus on a professional yet relaxed approach, clear communication, and a wide selection of songs and types of dancing. If you want a beautiful wedding dance, start learning with us!
Is access to the dance course time-limited?
No, access to the online dance course is unlimited – you learn wherever you want and whenever you want without any restrictions.
How much time do we need to learn the first dance?
The learning time is a very individual matter. Adjust the learning time to the difficulty of the choreography and your skills. If you have never danced before or if you don't have much time to learn – opt for a simpler routine that you can dance calmly and without much stress.
If you dream of a more difficult routine – start learning well in advance. It is important to be aware that for more complex combinations and lifts, technique plays a significant role, and sometimes physical fitness as well.
The optimal and calm time to start learning to dance is 2-3 months, while for more difficult choreographies, where you want to put on a show, it can be even 5-6 months.
On our website dancefromhome.pl in the first dance section, you will find choreographies that you can master in just 2-3 weeks, and in an emergency even in a week. This is a LAST MINUTE option if you decide to learn at the last minute.
In each of our courses, you will find a detailed explanation of figures and steps from the basics, also with a technical aspect. However, we recommend starting to learn to dance earlier, because in the last weeks you will already have your heads full with final preparations.
It is also worth setting a goal to practice the choreography at least a week before the wedding. This way, in case of any pre-wedding chaos, you will still have time to prepare for the dance.
How much space do we need to practice?
It depends on your choreography for the first dance. However, a safe space is 2m x 3m. It is worth adding that all the choreographies for the first dance were created in our home. We usually move the table to have more space for practice, so if you need, you can also slightly rearrange your home/apartment.
We don't want lifting. Will we find a substitute in the course?
Of course – in every course where lifting is included, we also provide an equally impressive substitute.
Additionally, if lifting is more demanding, and you would like to perform lifting in your first dance, we also add an option for easier lifting.
We have little time left to learn. Which choreography is the fastest to learn?
Additionally, if lifting is more demanding, and you would like to perform lifting in your first dance, we also add an option for easier lifting.
We have little time left to learn. Which choreography is the fastest to learn?
Don't worry, we thought of you too! We created a few LAST MINUTE choreographies that you will master in a very short time. If you have extremely little time left to learn (e.g., the wedding is in a week), we suggest our simplest choreography: Hallelujah – a slow and romantic choreography for the first dance.
If you prefer a more dynamic choreography, we suggest Stumblin In – a joyful and energetic, yet simple to master choreography.
We have two left feet. Which choreography is the simplest?
Whether you have two left feet will be revealed after the course ;) However, if you don't feel comfortable on the dance floor and don't have much time left to learn, we suggest two of the simplest choreographies to master:
Hallelujah – a slow and romantic choreography based on the waltz.
Perfect (simpler version) – a love classic and choreography based on the Viennese waltz.
Stumblin In – a joyful and energetic choreography based on social dance.
If you start early enough (you have 2-3 months ahead for learning) and want a simple choreography to master, we particularly suggest:
- Nothing Twice
- You Look So Beautiful
- Only You, Only Me
- Because It's You
- Always Where You Are
- Unchained Melody
- Until I Found You
- Dancing in the Moonlight
- This State
- Dandelions
However, remember that each of our choreographies was created with beginner dancers in mind. In every course, you will find step-by-step instructions explained completely from scratch. Our choreographies are impressive but also simple to master. If you have dreamed of a choreography that is not on the above list, but you have a time buffer, go ahead! Choose the arrangement and song that you like the most.
Will we be able to receive feedback?
Of course! Send us materials from your exercises to info@dancefromhome.pl
We will get back to you with any comments and suggestions.
